Cancer Research Initiative - Lead Researcher
Dr. Agnès Tyburn is a biochemist with a DPhil in Chemical Biology from the University of Oxford. Prior to that, she studied organic chemistry and graduated with a research master's degree from the University of Rouen and the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Rouen. In parallel to her research scientist career, Agnès started beekeeping in 2018 and has had the opportunity to research honey bee biology at the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge. She currently manages the department’s research apiary based at the Cambridge University Botanic Garden (UK).
Since 2023, Agnès has been contributing to Auxilium Cancer Research Initiative by researching anticancer compounds found in natural medicines and understanding their combined mechanisms of action on a broad range of cancers. This research helps identify the right type of supplements containing these natural compounds, along with their optimal dosage and regimen, for recommended anti-cancer approaches. Agnes also helps to care for Auxilium Worldwide bees located at its headquarters.
