What began as a dedicated property for conservation has evolved into a vibrant 20-hive sanctuary, where ecological stewardship, cancer research, and direct community action intersect.

Auxilium Acres provides the controlled environment necessary to study the direct relationship between land management, plant diversity, and the therapeutic properties of bee propolis.
By cultivating a biodiverse, chemical-free ecosystem, we observe how specific botanical profiles influence the quality and complex biochemistry of the hive. It is here that our research comes to life—moving from theoretical data to hands-on discovery in a sanctuary designed to support the very creatures that hold potential keys to integrative medicine.
Nourishing the Local Community
A healthy, thriving ecosystem naturally produces abundance. At Auxilium Acres, our agricultural practices go beyond supporting our 20 honeybee hives—they actively yield fresh, nutrient-dense produce aimed at addressing local food insecurity.
As supply chains become increasingly vulnerable, we believe local, sustainable food systems are vital for community resilience. We share our harvest through two direct channels:
Farm-Direct Access: Providing fresh produce directly to community members and neighbors who stop by the property.
Food Bank Partnerships: Partnering with regional food banks and fresh-food distributors to ensure high-quality, homegrown produce reaches vulnerable families across Maryland.
By integrating regenerative farming with bee conservation, Auxilium Acres demonstrates how environmental research can immediately nourish, heal, and support the surrounding community.
