Prisoner Support - Volunteer
Dr. Joseph Romano is a researcher and university instructor in medieval literature. He earned his PhD from Columbia University, MA from Brooklyn College, and BA from Georgetown University. His doctoral work explored the nature of the will and contemplation and was deeply informed by Rohini Ralby’s Living the Practice. Joe brings this background in research and education to his role as a volunteer in Auxilium Worldwide’s Prisoner Support program. He sees volunteering in this program as an invaluable opportunity to integrate his academic life with life beyond the classroom. He especially appreciates how discussion of Living the Practice promotes connection, authenticity and personal growth among the program’s participants.
